October is the month of Halloween which, in my not-so-humble opinion should have just as much lead up as Christmas or any other holiday. In fact, I wouldn’t mind if November 1st was a federal holiday for recuperation (we can swap it for Columbus Day). Plus, local governments wouldn’t need to change the dates of trick or treating. Halloween is a cause for fun to me.
Yet, October is a month of other causes. Most notably, Breast Cancer Awareness but no less important, Domestic Violence Awareness. I think these are both worthy causes and while there isn’t as much attention given to domestic violence awareness, several companies have stepped up to aid in the fight against breast cancer.
