Rabbit Vibrators: Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em?

July 21st, 2009

I have owned/reviewed many a rabbit vibe in my time. I will continue to add to my collection, despite the fact that I don’t think any one rabbit I own completely satisfies me in every way. Still, I recommend them and I truly believe there is one out there for everyone; it’s just that, finding the one can be difficult but I’m not sure it’s more effort than the rabbit is worth. (Perhaps more money than it’s worth, though). I think I’ve been lucky. My general shape and size must be more accommodating for rabbits. Indeed, many of them feel like they’re too long but I can take advantage of vaginal ballooning in order to wedge them as high as possible to ensure best clitoral stimulation.

On the other hand, maybe other women can’t or don’t wish to be a wedger, like myself. I recently read a review where Epiphora mentioned denouncing rabbit vibes as a whole. The blasphemy! Though, I do feel for her because I can only imagine how difficult the search for the perfect rabbit might be for others. It’s certainly disappointing that many have given up.

How do you feel about rabbits?

I used to hate rabbits. They’d confuse me and have too much going on at once and never “fit” right.

Then I got the Melody and it was love at first sight.

It really IS all about finding just the right one!

  • I always thought rabbits looked huge and complex and awkward. Then EF sent me one to review and it was the first toy that made me come all on its own (ever. I’d always needed my fingers before). So…I’m really interested to try some other rabbits now ^_^ but I’m still a newb.

I did the denouncing thing as well. Thought they were all way too long. But then I discovered that Vibratex’s Rock Your World does just that.

I think that one is a great option for folks who like it on the shorter side but Vibratex toys generally just do not have enough power for me.

I have to admit I’m a Rabbit hater 🙁 I have never found one that fit well, and stimulated both my clitoris and vagina at the same time. I think I’m just lazy and find Rabbits require too much effort. I’ve tried many, all shapes and sizes, but have never been very impressed by any of them. I really think they are more hype than anything… More like a Sex in the City fad… But, who knows, maybe I have never found the right one for me?

I have several problems with rabbits.

    1. I like having firm pressure on my clit, preferably from something made of plastic. Not a soft material. (The Impulse Kit Bunny Arouser was an anomaly)
    2. I like thrusting, and I don’t want to have to sacrifice clit stim just to thrust.
    3. I’m particular about my dildos, which means most shafts of rabbits are boring to me. I want a glass dildo with bumps or the Tantus Echo or the Alumina Motion… not a boring straight shaft.

So I’m really not sure I could ever find a rabbit that would do it for me completely.

I like pressure, too, which is why I opt for “jumbo” bullets as clit stimulators. I don’t thrust, though. I do a sort of.. rocking motion. I’ll have to concede that rabbit shafts don’t tend to have a lot unique shapes which is why I also think more rabbits should focus on beads. Beads are where it’s at. I am not a big fan of dildos, to begin with. My vagina isn’t sensitive enough to appreciate softer ones and while glass is much more pleasurable, it’s too hard to really keep comfortably inserted during orgasm and I don’t have internet orgasms anyway. What rabbits do give me, is cupping around the pubic bone. My pubic bone is, by far, my most important sexual organ.
