I love this post. I couldn’t agree more. I don’t understand why some men seem to want to be patted on the back because they don’t abuse or rape women. I love your blog. It is sex-positive and you also express your opinion on very important topics.. such as this. You deserve a pat on the back!

Have had many discussions regarding this with my lady. Growing up, she has had a lot of issues with slut shaming coming from her parents and other family members. In expressing her feelings on this, I have learned a lot and realize I have to be a part of the solution and not a bystander. I also hope to be a father one day and will definitely be ready to teach them the right way. Great post and a much needed read for all.

In reply to Dan. If you want into a room with six women you care about, one of them is or will be a rape victim. Don't you want to make this a world where that doesn't happen? When people talk about "every man in a potential rapist" or "shrodinger's rapist" isn't to convince women to be afraid. It's to illustrate the very real women way that women think, talk and act because of rape culture so that men can understand.. until rape is minimize to a statistical 0, women will continue to live in its shadow. It's the closet thing we have to being safe but, at the end of the day, it's also NOT even safe then.
