Fair enough. I’d love to read a well-written book of that type written for counselors, but pretentiousness and weird aggression is not good for anyone. It’s not that helpful being right if you’re also an asshole for no reason.

Some of the concepts in this book have been presented in others (Tell Me What You Want springs to mind because I read it so recently, but there are others) in a way that’s much more accessible and much less pretentious. =/

I actually am a (trainee) counselor, so I might be the right audience? But, like, nuance and communication are critical, and it doesn’t seem like this book does a good job of introducing complex subjects wit the sensitivity they deserve.
