The door jam cuffs are designed to be place over any closed door. The straps are thin enough, and you wind up using the pressure between the door and jam to hold them in place. The two cuffs then wrap around your wrists, and you can has sex or endure whatever flavor of torture is up your alley in a standing position.

Alternatively, you could place them under the door so someone who is sitting or lying on the ground  is cuffed.

When you’re finished, simply open the door and remove the cuffs. There’s no permanent installation required, and storage is easy. The included cuffs use Velcro to secure, like the under the bed restraints. But you could swap them out with sturdier and more secure cuffs if you’d prefer.

Five Head Wartenberg Wheel

The five heads work exactly the same as a single head — except there’s more. They’ll cover a wider path and the prongs won’t line up exactly, so there will be more variation in sensation. However. they’ll all move in the same direction.

The appearance of this is a little more “Wicked” than the regular pinwheel. Indeed, people who have seen this or my single Wartenberg wheel have assumed it was a tool of punishment that would make anyone squeal. They’re not quite right; although, they’re not quite wrong, either.

Obviously, stimulation can range from a light to possibly breaking the skin. I’v yet to be able to achieve that, but with firm pressure, I was able to achieve a nice “perforation” effect on my skin. It took a few moments for the tracks to really show up, though. I like the marks left by a Wartenberg wheel and they’re not permanent, which is nice.

If you do use it with enough pressure to draw blood, it will be a little more difficult to clean around each pinwheel and all the spokes. I’m thinking a brush or cloth would do the trick without causing it to rust, because that would suck. I definitely wouldn’t let it soak.

The Five Head Wartenberg Pinwheel is everything you like about the original, just more. In fact, I think the quality of this one is higher than that of my original pinwheel, which seem to have edges of different sharpnesses and a few imperfections. When it comes to metal, it’s pretty easy to tell when companies have skimped because of imperfections on the surface. This isn’t the case with the Five Head Wartenberg Pinwheel.

The five head pinwheel comes in the same sort of plastic sheath as other Wartenberg pinwheels. It might be a bit wider to fit it. It’s not wide enough, however. It should be more box-like or have a flared end (like a condom) to better with the pinwheel. Because it’s so sharp, it’s cut the shit out of the sheath during shipping alone. Frequent use, which would involve removing and replacing the pinwheel, would only exacerbate this. Needless to say, I won’t be keeping mine in the plastic cover.

Despite its looks, the Wartenberg wheel can be newb-friendly while still offering more intense sensations for people who like it a bit rougher. There’s not a huge difference in sensation between this one and the pinwheel with the single head, however, so I would based my decision on price and quality.

Do you guys remember when I reviewed my wartenberg wheel so many years ago? Literally years ago. Man, I have been at this gig for so long. And it hasn’t been all ups, but there have never been enough downs for me to consider quitting. Things have changed in a lot of ways that I couldn’t have seen coming in 2008. No one did really, but I’m still here.

UberKinky wasn’t one of the companies I was working with five years ago, but they’ve just started their program, and I’m glad to be on board. I’ve been able to hold a couple reviews, and this one will be for a wartenberg pinwheel.

When I first tried one, I was impressed. To some people, this device looks like torture, but it’s really quite versatile. You control everything, so if you use a gentle touch, your partner will feel a light prickle but no pain… unless you want them to, which is easy to do by applying more pressure.

It’s really hard to do this concept wrong; although, a few companies have modifying BDSM pinwheels to have more heads, colors or larger spokes. The concept, though, is hard to mess up. Perhaps this is why I am so likely to recommend them to people who are looking for something different. Work it into medical play, use it to build up to knifeplay or engage in a little CBT.

Under Bed Bondage Restraint System [Giveaway]

Maybe you’re not into couples kits like my previous giveaway. That’s okay. Some people want something a little more advanced. Maybe you need to break out from your routine, and you want to try something new. One of the first items I was able to review was the Under the Bed Restraints by Sportsheets. At the time, this was really the only brand offering such a product, and the system is easy to use even if you’re not experienced. It’s a versatile way to tie someone up spread-eagle or straight up-and-down.  You don’t need a headboard or footboard. Your bed, as simply as it may be, is perfect with this setup.

It includes the straps that go under your bed as well as four cuffs; although, you can swap them out with any cuffs that you prefer. It’s perfect to completely immobilize your partner as their own strength contributes to their bondage.

Still, it’s not intimidating with the velcro cuffs, which also mean you can get out of it quickly.  You can adjust the restraints to fit with your mattress. I use mine on a queen, but it would fit on a full, too.

One of the things that I like about this system is that I can tuck it under my bedskirt to hide it. If you just have a mattress, you can slide the straps and cuffs under your mattress. It’s a permanent installation without letting your family or friends know that you like bondage. You can just reach down and pull out the cuff to surprise someone. It’s.. awesome.

I haven’t gotten as much use out of my under the bed restraints as I would have liked. However, I want to after writing this post.
