At first, I confused California Fantasies with California Exotics, but it’s a lesser-known manufacturer that made the Kissable Ice Creme in strawberry, which I had a chance to try. This cream is really a multitasker that promises to cool and lubricate while allowing your partner to taste its flavour when he or she goes to town on you. This product does succeed in a lot of ways, I am happy to say and the 2oz squeeze tube is pretty sizeable. It reminds me of a hand cream tube, and there is a lot more product than any other sensitizing product I’ve tried.

Let me start by saying that this is not a lubricant. It’s a thicker cream which will quickly rub into the skin while the taste remains, it has virtually no lubricating properties. It may moisturize but my vagina doesn’t really need that, I don’t think. Plus, the ingredients list contains both alcohol and sugars which can cause irritation for some which leads me to believe that this product would better be labeled as a sensitizing cream than a lubricating one.

The ingredients, as listed on the tube, are:

It’s a long list and was painful to type up. While some of the ingredients I recognize, I wouldn’t mind if there were simply fewer and if there were fewer salts and sugars to boot. While cooling products usually contain some sort of menthol as the active ingredient, I am not sure what it is in the Kissable Ice Creme that makes it work.

As a sensitizing cream, Kissable Ice Creme passes with flying colours. It feels cool immediately and grows slightly cooler, but not so much that it makes me uncomfortable like other cooling products I’ve used. It doesn’t quite tingle, but I can feel the area to which it is applied is growing more sensitive. This is a positive attribute when used on the clitoris but I would like to remind you that this product is also intended to be kissable which means your mouth, including lips and tongue, will become extra sensitive, too. Depending on your personal preferences, this may not be a positive thing. I find it a bit interesting but not necessarily distracting. I did not experience any amazingly powerful or easier orgasms while using this cream but my awareness was definitely heightened.

The Kissable Ice Cream is flavoured and scented. It’s definitely sweet and more of the unnatural strawberry “flavour” as opposed to tasting like real strawberries. The taste will grow weaker as it is licked away (although, the thick cream does stay in place well) and it does seem to have a bit of a sugary aftertaste. It’s not horrible but it is a little.. different. Fluids and a person’s natural taste may alter the sensation, of course. The scent is very sweet as well and gives you a good indication of how it will taste.

It does remove cleanly with licking or washing without leaving residue and even when it’s on your fingers, it feels creamy and soft without being greasy. Because it is thick, it stays where you put it and you do not have to worry about it dripping on your linens or carpet but, as it is water based, I do not think it would stain anyway.

In fact, since I bought it to use as a sensitizing cream and not a lubricant, I can’t really say that are a lot of strong negatives about the Kissable Ice Creme from California Fantasies. It does what it says in a noticeable but not overpowering way, and I like that it does not smell or taste like mint because I am not a fan. Not everyone will love the taste (although there are also Cola and Colada flavours available) but I found it to be decent in the limited quantities I’d be using for playtime anyway. I would like to see an ingredient list that isn’t quite so terrifying, but I haven’t experienced any adverse reactions and do not intend to use it internally, so I am really pretty satisfied with the Strawberry Kissable Ice Cream.

Like the Wet Together Couples Lube I reviewed, the Ultimate Pleasure Gels are meant to enhance each partner’s experience in a way that proves ultimately pleasurable when combined. This new product takes the concept to another level. One of the pleasure gels offers a tingling sensation for her, similar to the lube in this line, but the male product differs slightly as it is meant to be prolonging instead of simply pleasurable.

That’s not the only difference. Wet Together Ultimate Pleasure Gels have stepped away from the pink and blue branding, which perhaps makes it a bit more politically correct but doesn’t make much sense at this point in the game. Because the original products were pink or blue, the red, gold, and black color scheme could be confusing. Furthermore, there’s less room for experimentation because the prolonging pleasure gel is really intended for a male to use it. I have to say, I’m not a big fan of the scheme anyway; it’s sort of gaudy and unattractive. The two .5 tubes of gels – black for him and red for her – are quite plain and lack the colorful, translucent fun of the lube bottles and are remarkably smaller.

But the packaging doesn’t break a good product (or make a bad one, but that’s another rant for another day). Unfortunately, I am still not a fan of the tingling formula in these product pairings and it seems like both product and packaging are not for me. The pleasure gel felt identical to the lube and shared the same minty scent, which is noticeable, with a slightly sweet taste. It went on cold, and while I liked that, it intensified into a distracting and uncomfortable tingling sensation when the area was stimulated. It felt like it took away from clitoral pleasure, and I had to stop the activity.

The box says the user will experience a “gentle warming sensation within 5” minutes, but that is pretty much the opposite of my experience. It also suggests that the product will last 20 minutes. Luckily for me, the sensation faded after 5 or 10 minutes. Perhaps unlucky for you if you are a big fan. Regardless, it’s not what the box suggests.

The pleasure gel For Her is supposed to enhance natural lubrication, but I’m not sure if this is true. In fact, at one point, I felt embarrassingly dry. If there are any lube-enhancing properties, I’m sure they will be entirely negated by the uncomfortable feeling of the product.

If you are ingredient conscientious, the box lists a whole slew of them for both products. For Her contains:

I am glad to say that the prolonging pleasure gel for him was a big success. I believe the instructions say to apply it just under the head of the penis, but I forgot to look and apply the clear gel all over. I couldn’t feel a warming sensation; in fact, when I asked, he said he felt normal, but it was obviously something that wasn’t normal – in a good way! He was able to last longer and move in ways that would normally cause him to orgasm nearly instantly. In fact, long after the tingling gel had ruined my experiment, I had to ask him to finish up; otherwise, I am sure he would have lasted longer.

Despite its lack of sensation, my husband loved the gel for him. It doesn’t seem to numb the penis like so many prolonging products which detract from the pleasure of sex. Even if it helps a man last longer, it doesn’t help sex be an enjoyable act. This gel has made us consider similar products, but it would be great if it were manufactured and sold separately in a larger container than the 1/2 oz tube.

The ingredients in the Pleasure Gel For Him are:

  • Glycerin
  • Propylene Glycol

As you can see, the ingredient lists are nearly identical, except for niacinamide and arginine (L). which I can assume are the active ingredients that cause tingling and prolonged erection, respectively. L’arginine is the active ingredient in most clitoral arousal gels because it increases blood flow in the area. However, this offers risks such as herpes outbreaks. There is plenty of glycerin in these, too, which can cause reactions in some women.

I know I am not every woman, and some will surely enjoy the tingling effect of the pleasure gel For Her. But Even if I liked the tingling, I don’t think these products have the potential to work together as well as Wet Together Couples Lube simply because there doesn’t seem to be any way for the pleasure gels to combine for greater effect. They seem meant to be enjoyed because they are each used by a partner.

Wet Together Ultimate Pleasure Gels are not intended to be lubricants, although they are latex-friendly. Wet suggests using Wet Together Ultimate Pleasure Gels with other wet lubricants, and a sample of Wet Together Lube is included. Because they are both sensation products, I would be hesitant to use all four together, especially if you haven’t previously used the products separately. It could get quite intense.

Ultimately, this pair includes a strong product that I hope Wet continues to make and perhaps focus on by itself. Because my experience was so consistent with the Wet Together products, I would probably not invest any further in the line (were there new additions) unless there were some changes. I do think it would be interesting to see how the pleasure gels could be better adapted for lesbian or gay couples, as the prolonging and tingling gels obviously work better in some situations.

I’m sorry for not posting sooner. I’ve just been burned out lately but I’d like to get reviews up this week of all the products I currently have so I can dedicated time to everything I’m waiting on in the mail, instead of things I’ve already tried.

Anyway, tonight’s review is actually a positive one about Intimate Organics Intense Clitoral Stimulating Gel which TabuToys was gracious enough to provide me. If you remember, I purchased some Adam&Eve clit sensitizing gel about this time last year and wasn’t really impressed. However, the second time around has proved to be more effective, as it well should with any product which claims to be “intense”.

Intimate Orgcanics is a name which is getting more press these days. I’m not sure if it’s just new or if retailers are starting to carry its products – most of which are sensual – or if people are gravitating to these “pure vegan” products but my first foray has been pretty rewarding. My tube of stimulation gel comes in a small box. The packaging features splashes of green and deep pink on a monotone background and looks very classy overall. Both the tube and box feature a sensual image of a woman’s abdomen but there’s nothing explicitly shown.

Intimate Organic’s advertises the use of “certified organics” in this (and, I believe, all of their) products. The intense stimulating gel contains “organic extracts, .. natural damiana, L-Argenine and L-orthinnine to increase blood flow to the clitoris” but it contains no menthol. If you’re conscientious about ingredients, this gel has no DEA or parabens. I really don’t care either way but I might choose this over a similar product if neither stood out in any other way. I do know that my last product also had L-Argenine and Christina, from TabuToys, commented about the ingredient. So heads up:

Your readers may also want to know that L-Arginine containing products can trigger outbreaks in users with genital herpes.

Another ingredient listed is peppermint oil. This does give it a slightly peppermint scent and, had I known this, I wouldn’t have accepted it to review because I have such an aversion to anything minty. However, it’s not a strong minty smell and I almost like it.

If you’re using IO’s Intense clitoral gel, you can also use latex condoms and it’s also safe to ingest but I wouldn’t say it’s meant to be edible. I dabbed a bit on my arm and gave it a lick. It does have a slightly sweet/spicy taste that is reminiscent of the peppermint but is not exactly minty. It’s a very light taste anyway and you might not even notice it.

However, I did notice a tingling affect on both my arm and tongue after about a minute. It works! It was definitely noticeable without being painful which some stimulating products can be. Now, I’m not especially sensitive to these products so others may experience a more profound affect. Furthermore, if you are sensitive, Intimate Organics makes a Mild Stimulating Gel (which TabuToys does not yet carry).

I found the effect on my clit to be more or less noticeable depending on how much product I used. I would definitely caution that this clear liquid is very thin and it’s easy to get a whole dollop when you want just a drop. I would also recommend using the tube upside down because unscrewing it with the cap-side-down will result in the gel dripping all over the place. It wouldn’t hurt to be careful to not squeeze the tube, either.

When using more product, I could definitely feel the tingling sense but it wasn’t pleasurable or uncomfortable. I simply felt like the gel was working. If I applied after I had already been playing, it seemed to mute the effect a bit, and if I was using a vibe or other sex toys, it was also a little harder to hone in on the sensations by the gel.

The big test, of course, is not just if I can feel it but if it has an effect on my orgasms. Reluctantly, I must say it seems like Intimate Organics Intense Clit Stimulating Gel does work. Every time I used it, I experienced either easier, faster or better orgasms – sometimes a combination. Of course, it could be due to other factors like my mood or the atmosphere or maybe it’s just due to the placebo effect but I think the solution is much easier: it works.

So, I won’t mind applying a little dab of this gel on my clit pre-masturbation or coitus but I probably wouldn’t use it during oral because it does have that tingly effect on tongues (I can still feel it after applying it when I started writing this review) and it’s a bit annoying. I’m sure my husband wouldn’t appreciate that.

I do wish it were a bit thicker because it can easily spill and it’s hard to control just how much product comes out of the tube. I think this may mean the tube is used up sooner than it would be but it’s definitely a bigger tube than my other clit sensitizer at 30ml. For reference, it’s definitely bigger than, say, a tube of lip gloss. I have a tube of Benadryl cream which is about the same size but I would be hesitant to estimate how many uses I could get. Your mileage may vary. 😉

So I will leave you with this. Intimate Organics has produced a clitoral gel which defnitely seems to be intense. I can feel it working and while I would like a thicker formula, I would recommend this Clitoral Stimulating Gel to others and likely buy it again for myself because it does have a noticeable effect on my orgasms.

I was shopping Adam and Eve when I spotted this product and figured it might make things a little more interesting. Who doesn’t desire more orgasms? However, Adam and Eve’s Make Me Cum clit sensitizing gel did not.. make me cum. I cannot say that it did not aid in this pursuit, but if it did, its effects were not obvious enough for me to say that it’s a good investment.

Make me cum is a clear gel that comes in a 1/2-ounce jar, and for what it does, I find the price tag of $9.95 to a bit much. I mean, this jar is just small. I wasn’t expecting anything huge, but I did not realize I was paying so much for so little. It’s about the same size as those small jars of eye cream. You’re not getting much.

With that said, you don’t exactly use a whole lot. I usually dab my finger in the jar once or twice, then rub the gel around my clit. There was a faint medicinal scent that wasn’t necessarily unpleasant, and neither smell nor taste has ever been noticeable to my husband when I applied the gel.

The active ingredient of which is L-Argenine, which is:

an amino acid that has numerous functions in the body. It helps the body get rid of ammonia (a waste product), is used to make compounds in the body such creatine, L-glutamate, and L-proline, and can be converted to glucose and glycogen if needed.

L-arginine is used to make the nitric oxide, a compound in the body that relaxes blood vessels. Preliminary studies have found that L-arginine may help with conditions that improve when blood vessels are relaxed (called vasodilation), such as atherosclerosis, erectile dysfunction, and intermittent claudication.

So I would assume that applying this topically would loosen up muscles in the clitoral area, allowing blood flow to my clit to increase. Thus, my clitoris would be more erect and more sensitive. The science makes sense, but just because my clitoris is more engorged does not necessarily make anything more pleasurable or guarantee more orgasms.

Note that l’arginine may trigger herpes outbreaks so you may want to pass over this product if you or your partner have oral or genital herpes.

I have used this before masturbation and sex. I like the idea of applying the gel because I’m anticipating sex. It makes me feel a little naughty like I have a little secret that no one else knows. I become more aware of my sexuality, but I think it’s more placebo effect than the result of this clit sensitizer.

Once I apply this gel, I either feel nothing at all or a general sort of heat happening around my clit. Now, I suppose this means that the gel is working and blood is rushing to my clit, but the heat is more unpleasant than pleasant. I don’t feel particularly aroused or more sensitive, but some stimuli do seem to be a bit more intense.

But perhaps the big test of success here should be whether or not I do experience an increase in the “frequency of orgasm” as the jar states. I have to say that I have experienced mixed results, and it is a bit difficult to pin the success of failure or orgasm on this gel alone or on surrounding circumstances.

About half the times I used this gel, I did feel like I had a better orgasm. The times that come to mind were also more pleasurable sexually intimate experiences in general, so that may have increased my pleasure more than this jar. Even with better orgasms, they were not easier, and I would assume that a product that induces more orgasms should also make them easier to achieve. Otherwise, where exactly does “more frequent” come into play?

The rest of the time, there was no discernible effect when it came to the quality or frequency of orgasm. Period. These were usually the times when I also felt no stimulation from the gel after application.

The bottom line is that this is an overpriced product, and its main strength is the placebo effect. If you want, you can let yourself think this product is awakening your clit. If this gel did anything at all, it made my clit feel warmer and may have increased the enjoyability of my orgasms. However, I cannot say it did so for a fact. Furthermore, I have no conclusive evidence that Make Me Cum clit sensitizer increased the frequency of my orgasm. As for the advertised purpose of this product, I would call it a failure, and I cannot recommend it to anyone else.
