What’s Better than Better Sex?

July 14th, 2009

You tell me. In the meantime, I’ve been doing on-site reviews for BetterSex, a reputable looking retailer. If you see any by Adriana, that’s me!

Gotta Shop Around

July 10th, 2009

I like to think I am somewhat of a discerning customer (maybe I am just a critical reviewer, eh?). I know what I want and how to get it and what is unacceptible from retailers and when I am willing to sacrifice customer service, price or super helpful websites.

I have been around the ‘net a time or two so I know how to find the best prices on sex toys. There is a site or two I head to because prices are always great but they lack the community and interaction of other sites. Sometimes I just want to find glass dildos cheaply; I may even use other sites for information before purchasing at one with the bottom line price.

There are also the sites I head to because I trust their reputation and have had positive experiences as a customer and/or reviewer. Included in this are sites which are especially helpful when it comes to product information and specs. Manufacturers like to convince you that their products are higher quality than they are, so I like an honest and open retailer (or should I say e-tailer?). This is most important when I am being indecisive and have a need to compare several products side by side.

Still, sometimes I appreciate a site that simply has mass inventories of and every product you can think of; even if I do not have personal need of an army of blow up dolls, I appreciate having the option and sometimes a store does not get my patronage simply because I can’t get everything I want in one place.I do not expect a sex toy store to sell every single piece of foot, fetish or leather wear available but the more I can get at one place, the happier I am (especially if this helps with shipping).

At this point in my sex toy shopping “career”, I do not actively seek out new retailers. I think I have one to fit most of my needs. I never really object to suggestions, of course.

Community

June 27th, 2009

There are many adult communities online but, unfortunately, the mere mention of of the word “sex” can cause a place to become the dredges of the internet so it can be difficult to find intelligent and open minded discussions about sexuality. Luckily, I have found a few and it’s interesting the overlap, and sometimes lack there-of, the member bases have. In the event that you are looking for a new or additional home on the web, try these places:

I Need a Massage

June 20th, 2009

I need this mass of tension worked out of my neck. I need hands rubbing and stroking my skin. I need to lie, resting my chin on my arms, eyes closed and relaxed as oil is worked into my skin. I need pressure, a massage which works its way deep into the muscles. I need sweet aromas floating through the air. I need just the hint of sweat rolling across my skin. I need like tinted red, creating ambiance. I need deep breaths and focused energy. I need fingers sneaking their way to my most private of parts. I need someone straddling me, their weight resting on my body. I need kisses and licks on the skin of my back. I need to be touched.

I’ll admit, this desire is more than inspired by all the reviews I’ve recently read of JimmyJane products.

I mean, I guess that’s what surfers say, right? I posted a review of the Royal Surfer on EF earlier.

Phthalates: Do you really care?

June 16th, 2009

I’m just curious.

I’m tending toward the healthier side of the “what my sex toys are made of” spectrum, slowly but surely. But I do have to say that I’m still exploring enough that I don’t like to rule out toys which seem to have great functions because of material alone. If I’m comparing 2 very similar toys, I’d go for one which was Phthalate free over one which has Phthalates. Really, I’m just not a person to concern myself over things (which also seem unsubstantiated) if it’s going to severely inhibit my fun. Of course, there are a lot of sex toy options which is why, through very little conscious effort, much of my collection is Phthalates free.
